CANAL 337 Hosts its First Brunch Wedding

In May of 2014 CANAL 337 was happy to host its first ever Brunch Wedding. On an appropriately sunny Sunday morning overlooking the Canal in downtown Indianapolis, guests gathered on the terrace where they snacked on scones, chocolate croissants, and cherry Kringle. The ceremony was beautiful and sophisticated. After the ceremony the couple boarded a gondola and took a romantic trip up and down the waterway. They were serenaded in Italian as onlookers admired and photographed the scene.

The wedding reception took place at CANAL 337 where guests mingled and enjoyed a premium Bloody Mary bar with accoutrements such as celery stalks, shrimp, olives, salami, limes, lemons, fresh tomato juice, and Kalamata Juice. During cocktail hour refreshing hors’d oeuvres were served including Spicy Crab Salad, Watermelon Cubes, and Caprese Salads. After welcomes and speeches, brunch stations featured Omelets, Belgian waffles, and Crepes. The event was topped off with a decadent wedding cake served with “Nitro” ice cream. The cake was decorated with beautiful pastel flowers and was just another unique aspect of the event’s festivities; The 3 tiered “naked cake” offered an alternative view of the vanilla cake that perfectly harmonized with the other design aspects of the wedding and CANAL 337.

We are proud that this was the first brunch wedding CANAL 337. It was an honor to celebrate in the sun on the canal with the newlywed couple and their close friends and family.
